HITEC International Corp. attended this year’s Procurement Summit held on October 23-24, 2023, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City, demonstrating our commitment to procurement excellence.
Organized by the Government Procurement Policy Board-Technical Support Office (GPPB-TSO), the summit gathered 50 esteemed companies to explore innovative strategies and exchange knowledge in the field of procurement. Themed "Building a Cadre of Procurement Professionals as Catalysts for Innovation and Competitiveness," the event enabled participants to actively discuss, network, and explore strategies revolutionizing the procurement landscape.
During the event, Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman urged stakeholders to actively strengthen a trusted procurement system, aligning with the administration's commitment to a more robust Government Procurement Reform Act.
GPPB-TSO Executive Director Rowena Candice Ruiz echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the importance of institutionalizing procurement professionalism. “We will not only be embodying the principle of professionalism but we will be including, as our Secretary mentioned, the institutionalization of procurement as a profession,” Ruiz stated.
